Drawing Shoes in Easy Steps – A Tutorial for Beginners

()

Shoes are one of the most popular fashion accessories in the world, but many people have trouble drawing them with accuracy and detail.

With these 4 simple steps, you are going to Drawing Shoes in Easy Steps of your own and have fun doing it! From the leather stitching to the solid rubber sole, drawing a shoe is easier than you think, so get started today!

Draw a Basic Sketch of a Shoe

If you have never drawn before, start by drawing a circle. This is the easiest shape to draw and it’s usually the first step when drawing an object. If you know how to draw, feel free to skip this step.

Step 2, trace a long triangle around the top of your circle with one end pointing upwards.

Step 3: Trace another triangle under your previous one but do not extend it too much past the base of your original triangle.

Step 4: Now that both triangles are traced on either side of your circle, use them as guidelines to finish up your shoe with an arch curve across its top. Congratulations! You’ve now completed a basic sketch of a shoe!

Draw the Lower Part of the Shoe

Begin drawing the lower part of the shoe by making two curved lines that connect at the toe. One line should be on top of the other and they will both start at a dot. The top line will be shorter than the bottom one, so make sure it is just above where your first dot is.

Now draw an angled line that starts from your second dot and curves up to meet the top line. This forms your shoe’s heel and sole. Fill in the rest by adding three more curved lines. These will all start at the dots and curve inward toward each other, forming a triangle.

Connect them at their base with a straight line coming out of each pointy end to form what looks like a cradle for your toes to rest on. Make another straight line going over the top of these shapes to complete the upper part of your shoe.

Draw the Upper Part of the Shoe

Draw the upper part of the shoe. To do this, draw two lines that are parallel and horizontal, forming the top of the shoe. Then draw two lines that are at an angle and go down from one line to another, creating two triangles on either side of the shoe. These will be the top of the heel.

Next, draw a line below these triangles going straight across. Then, with your pencil still facing downward, continue drawing four more lines that are also straight but angled upwards so they meet with the first line you drew at the bottom of your first triangle – these should make up most of your shoe’s sole.

Finally, fill in all these drawn shapes with small circles for laces or holes for shoelaces if you want to make it more realistic-looking! And don’t forget to erase any extra pencil marks left behind.

Add detail on the Upper and Lower Parts

Add detail of the Upper part: For this step, you should start by sketching the main elements that make up the upper part of the shoe. These include the top of the shoe, which could be round or pointed, and an oval that will form one side of the shoe’s opening. You’ll also need to add some stitching lines and notches at the back of the heel area.

Add details of the lower part: To finish off your drawing, create the shape for the bottom of the shoe by drawing a straight line for where it meets with the ground. Now draw three small circles for each toe area and connect them with stitching lines if desired.

Finish off your drawing with two curved lines on either side – these represent a foot slipping into the shoe from below.

Add Lace to A Shoe

Draw lace by outlining the shape and then filling it in. Remember that lace is thin and stringy, so try not to go over any lines more than once. Add points on either side of the laces where they would attach at the top of the shoe. Now you’re done! You just drew a shoe step by step.
